A hand-built, box-within-a-box pendant made from precious metal clay - it is fine silver, ie., .999 pure silver.
This pendant appears in Creative Jewelry 2010 as part of the necklace project "Modern Fairy Tale".
The patina was applied using liver of sulphur. The center of this floating box contains a few small pieces of green beach glass collected along the shores of Lake Michigan that have been attached with a strong two-part epoxy. Excluding rings, this box measures approximately 28mm x 22mm x 12mm.
I designed the original pendant for my mother to display a small photo of my son. There is a shallow bezel on the back of the box suitable for a small photo, if you desire.
